BIOCALF Animal Health Products are advanced, scientifically formulated oral nutritional products that ensure your calves receive optimal nutrition and digestive health during early development and periods of stress from transportation and feed changes.

BIOCALF Animal Health Products Ltd, owned by ex dairy farmer and Premier Stockfeeds Ltd owner Tony Waugh, has been manufacturing and distributing the high energy oral nutritional product BIOCALF™ Plus to farmers and calf rearers since 2000.

BIOCALF™ Plus was developed to compliment the Premier Stockfeeds range of calf feeds when Tony recognised the need for a locally produced, high quality, oral nutritional compound available for Premier Stockfeeds clients.

After Premier Stockfeeds Ltd was sold in 2014, BIOCALF Animal Health Products Ltd continued as a separate entity marketing Biocalf products to the wider calf rearing community.

Continuous development of BIOCALF™ Plus has been undertaken over the years to enhance the products efficacy and is now one of the highest available energy per serving, at 366K calories, of any oral nutritional product on the market today.

As well as providing nutrients and minerals it includes Bovine Boost containing five selected strains of micro-encapsulated probiotics and a specialised strain of live prebiotic yeast to boost the immune system and five digestive enzymes to assist the digestion of milk and gelling agent Guar gum.

Bovine Boost contains five selected strains of micro-encapsulated probiotic bacteria and a specialised strain of live prebiotic yeast, which populate the lower gastrointestinal tract where 75 – 80% of all mammals’ immune function arises thereby helping to boost the immune system and five digestive enzymes to assist the digestion of milk.

Guar gum, a galactomannan polysaccharide, is a gelling agent, that has thickening and stabilizing properties which increase the viscosity of the solution to slow down the passage of fluids, supporting digestive health and the absorption of water and minerals.

BIOCALF™ Restore, new to the market, is a high energy, low cost oral nutritional product that is aimed at replacing nutritional losses in calves after stress or digestive upsets, providing energy and minerals, alkalinizing agents to maintain pH balance and salts to aid in water absorption and to metabolize energy.
